Where are these water projects located?
Our water projects are built in areas where families have little to no access to clean water. Many of these communities are in rural parts of Somalia and the wider Horn of Africa, where wells, taps, or water systems simply do not exist. People here depend on unsafe sources, or sometimes go entire days without water.
Khayr Foundation prioritizes regions most affected by drought, displacement, and poverty. Current and planned projects are located in places such as Mogadishu, Hargeisa, Bosaso, Djibouti, Jigjiga, Dadaab, Garissa, and other vulnerable areas. Each project is carefully chosen to reach families who otherwise would continue to live without a single safe drop of water.
